Child protection and expectations of parents/guardians, coaches and players
In accordance with the RFU’s Safeguard scheme, Tor Rugby Club has a Safeguarding Officer – Neil Ardeshir
Details are posted on the Club notice board, along with a copy of the clubs Safeguarding Policy.
There are certain expectations of players and coaches in addition to parents/guardians. The welcome booklet contains our codes of conduct for coaches, parents/guardians and our players, and I would ask that you familiarise yourselves with these in order to ensure the safety and well-being of all young players. You can also download the policy from the link at the bottom of this page. In addition to these codes of conduct, I have noted some important points for parents/guardians below: In order for the coaches to develop their squads, no child should be left without a responsible adult in attendance – the club will have coffee/tea available on Sunday mornings, so why not come for a drink while your child is enjoying the training/game?
All players must be officially registered with the club. All players must have the correct and appropriate kit/clothing (waterproofs, warm tops, track suit bottoms, studded boots etc) and protection (gum shields, U9‘s up). Please see attached information. If you have any concerns regarding your child’s development please do not hesitate to contact the coach, the club safeguarding officer, or any memeber of the committee
