A great training session @ Tor RFC for all age groups on Sunday – the U13s travelled up to Hornets for their first ever fixture as TOR U13s ..this squad has been together since the resurrection of the M+J section 4 seasons ago..it was a big day for them ..big pitch ..contested scrums..kicking. new rules ..they did themselves proud running in 3 tries but loosing out in the end to the more established team -but team spirit is running high and midweek training sessions have been organised ..18.15 on a Thursday
The rain held off most of the day- only the Mendip girls u13s and u15s catching a shower during their training session which again saw good numbers for this new inter club venture, all the Tor girls giving positive feedback from the session
The U11s welcomed TWO new players to training ..please spread the word WE NEED MORE U11S!..
We were again very pleased to welcome senior players to Sunday training helping out coaching the u11s and u12s this week ..a credit to your club!
The U9s had a VERY busy weekend. They took part in an U9s festival at Millfield on Saturday 4 matches their first “proper” ones involving contact ..wow brilliant straight out the blocks ..was that the wind causing a tear in Big Jims eye as he watched the squad he has taken from u6s defend, tackle, run offload and score with ease? they were a credit to the club displaying all the core values of Rugby
